Ingredients

  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 egg, seperated
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 0.53 oz (15 g) butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • oil (for frying)
  • Directions

    1. Peel plus core apples. Cut into 1.5cm slices and sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.
    2. Sift flour plus a pinch of salt in a bowl.
    3. Add milk and egg yolk, beat until smooth.
    4. Add brandy as well as melted butter, stand for 30 minutes.
    5. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks in addition to fold into batter.
    6. Coat apple company slices with batter together with deep fry in herbal until golden brown.
    7. Toss around cinnamon and sugar. Provide hot with icecream.
